Where in the world do I begin? We always look forward to photographing a Wedding at the Semple Mansion 🙂 It is a beautiful space with a lot to offer.
But – this day was SO much more than that <3 You might remember Andy and Molly’s fun, warm and cozy summer engagement session near downtown – or their awesome session at the Renaissance Festival 🙂 I’ve known Andy since kindergarten – so being that he and I have known each other longer than basically anyone else we still know – it was pretty fun to be such a unique part of this particular wedding day!
We did most all of the pictures at the Semple Mansion – but we did leave for a bit to go do group/couple pictures near the lakes. We really ended up with some great weather on their day – for being June it was surprisingly not muggy or buggy by the lakes! {thankfully} 🙂
One thing I really loved during the ceremony was that Andy and Molly incorporated something completely unique that we had yet to see on a wedding day 🙂 In lieu of a unity candle/sand ceremony/tree planting/cord braiding/lei wearing ceremony they did a tasting of elements {spicy, sour, sweet and bitter {right?} bitter I think..} That made for a wide variety of facial expressions and laughter. It was so sweet and fitting for them 🙂
Since Andy and I grew up together that also means I got to see a chunk of high school friends I hadn’t seen in years – so it was since to be able to catch up with them as well as Andy’s family too!
At the end of the night we had the joy of staying with them {and some of their guests/bridal party} and going to Northern Spark to walk and check out some cool exhibits 🙂
Thank you so much for letting us be part of your amazing day <3 we’ve loved getting to spend more time with you this year and look forward to more biking/camping/brewpub experience to come 🙂 {and the RenFest this fall!}
Love,
Karin 🙂
