Little did we know that these simple starting lyrics would become one of our most permanently memorable dance numbers at a wedding….
But before I go there, let me introduce you to Patrick and Jen – on their wedding day…..
The day was a gorgeous, August Saturday – starting at the lakeside Como Pavilion. Dan and I have been to Lake Como many times and walked about the Pavilion, but this was our first time shooting at wedding there!!! We had a great time shooting the guy figure out ties and the girls in the basement – walking right by the biggest spider I have ever seen in nature!!! Eeek!
They had a beautiful ceremony with the lake in the background and loving family and friends all around them : ) Once their ceremony was done, they had a nice receiving line and a super fun ‘bubbly’ exit to the limo – that took us away to Como Park for pictures and back to Pavilion once the crowd dissipated : )
After the fun outdoor pictures we headed downtown St Paul where the limo dropped the bridal party off to have a few drinks at a local pub. Dan stuck around and did some fun pictures walking to the Science Museum – where I was already with the photobooth – because we set it up early so the guests to take pictures while they were waiting!! We also printed them on the spot and glued the pictured into their guest book!! It was SO much fun!
As the guests continued to do more photo booth pictures, Dan took the bridal party around the Science Museum and took some fun pictures around the place! Of course, you can’t miss pictures with the dinosaurs!!
Then Dinner got started and we heard some amazing speeches – which led right into their grand march and dance!!
Now – we have been to lots of dances…. But holy cow…. When they did their bridal party dance?! We were laughing so hard!!! They danced to “Walk the Dinosaur†– highly appropriate for the museum theme and such : )
Finally – they handed out hundreds of glow sticks once the dance got going – {even I got some!} when I told Jen that I LOVED that idea – she responded “I love glow sticks!! I just figure that they are an appropriate piece of attire for ANY occasion!” I LOVE that!! : )
Patrick and Jen – thanks for letting us be part of your wedding day – we had SO much fun!!!!
