Over the winter we met with Carrie and Dustin and could just tell from meeting them how in love they are : ) Little did we know how much that excitement would translate into their wedding day! It was so sweet to see Carrie when we arrived to start pictures – she was SO excited to see Dustin that even though we had an hour set aside for getting ready pictures : ) I walked in and she excitedly asked “So, how soon can I see Dustin??†We proceeded to do some getting ready pictures – including a first for me, having the bride take off her dress so we could take pictures of it – just to put it right back on : )
This weekend of weddings really was a weekend of firsts – the one I already mentioned, plus a few more… We quickly learned that since their engagement, Carrie has been hoping and praying for rain on their wedding day! Needless to say, we were surprised to hear that – but we then learned that Carrie really wanted umbrella and rain boot pictures – hence, the excitement for the rain – which we did get! But also with a nice mix of overcast clouds and a few drops of sunlight : )
We also had a third first this weekend… The pastor at Carrie and Nick’s wedding forgot to step aside for their first kiss – so all we got was their faces kissing above the pastors head… So we went back in the church after the sanctuary had cleared out and redid their kiss. Dan – being amazing at photoshop has able to line up the two pictures {the one with the pastor in front and the one with just the two of them up there} – but if I wouldn’t have told you – you wouldn’t have known!! ; ) nice job Dan! : )
Carrie and Dustin had a beautiful ceremony filled with so much joy, faith love and a little bit of laughter : ) Such a fun ceremony to witness and be part of!
We headed off to their reception and Carrie and Dustin were surprised {back the church} with a limo car to take them there : ) Luckily Dustin’s mom told me when she arrived at the reception so I could go snap a few pictures : )
Another first {okay, so four firsts for their day!} we had a record number of kiddos there – at least FORTY! So we did an all kids picture on the dance floor – we had 32 of the kids up there! They are so cute!!
Carrie – your excitement for the day and Dustin really moved us and made everyone more excited for you two!! Dustin – one of our favorite moments from the day was how thrilled you were upon seeing Carrie for the first time : ) {after they met, Dustin exclaimed – “That was SO fun! I wanna do it again!!â€} Both of your enthusiasm for the day {and each other!} radiated through everything you said and made the day SO much fun for ALL of us!!
Love this church as well, what is the name and location of the one in these photos?
