Joe and Stephanie's Wedding

We could tell right off the bat that Joe and Stephanie were really excited to get married – they really are a very sweet couple that really love each other.

We headed down to Owatonna, Minnesota on a cold and brisk, but sunny, first Saturday of the year. We got there and started shooting, and both their families were really fun and great to photograph – my favorite was the ring bearer. We got him together with all the other guys and had them all smile (which he did very well!). Then we took some of them with “serious” faces, and I think he did this best one. His expression was so great – and he’s only four!

Most brides and grooms use “traditional” wedding vows (Dan and I did because I would’ve fallen apart had we not!), but Steph and Joe wrote their own, and they were so sweet! They had known each other quite a while, so they were certainly excited and very ready to get married!

Dan and I really felt honored and blessed to be a part of such a beautiful day – even though it was -17 degrees out! AND, those brave people went out on a buggy ride! Thankfully, our travel went quite well that day, and we hope it did for everyone else also!
