Together, Dan and Karin Berdal are the people behind Minneapolis wedding photographers DnK Portrait & Wedding Photography. They specialize in creative, artistic, and personal photography focusing on the Minneapolis, Saint Paul, the surrounding Twin City metro area, greater Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.

In a few words our approach to wedding photography is personal, creative, professional, and simplified. We work hard to capture your day in a fun, creative, and beautiful way - we want you to enjoy your wedding day as well as the photographs we take!

Dan - I love the ability a photograph has to create a lasting image of the fleeting moment... the perfect sunset, the biggest firework, a loving kiss, a BIG smile. I am honored to capture images that will eventually become the memories of our couples wedding days.
When I'm not photographing weddings in Minneapolis I also enjoy photographing nature and architecture. You can view a gallery of wedding photographs here.
I love being crazy with our dogs Moses and Maizy, eating healthy, mountain biking and listening to music. I'm thankful to God for everything I am and have.
Karin - Where to being... I love to talk. One of my favorite things to do is get to know our clients - I still talk monthly/weekly with clients from previous years! I really don't consider this a "job" because what we do is SO MUCH FUN!
Outside of photography I love babies, sign language, working with kids who have autism, eating healthy (or trying my best to!) and I love our puppy Moses even though I continually try to convince Dan we should get another dog ; )
Finally, I feel blessed. Completely blessed - and humbled because of it. It is so amazing to see where God has brought our business over the past 3 years. We love working in and around the Minneapolis area, and I am thrilled to continue on through this awesome 2009 season and I look forward to meeting all the brides and grooms we will be working with in 2010!!
Building trust and creating a comfortable environment are keys to getting good portraits. The process begins before your sitting or event even occurs. We like to get to know you - whether through emails, or phone calls back and forth, so by the time the wedding or portrait sitting day arrives we'll be comfortable and at ease.
